Musings on a King's Journey or maybe Yours.. with all the folderal and suchlike...delusion, illusion...

cnwritercnwriter
This is all about illusion and delusion, about Gods and kings and soldiers and heroes and such like things...

Heavenly Hosts...

The war hath endeth
The fight is over
Won by heroes
Standing their ground
Whilst all around them
Others fell

A mighty cry went up
From them to Heaven
Their Gods they did implore

Zeus mightiest of them all
Nepture of oceans deep
And Hera, her beauty
So sublime
Their safety she would keep

Beings of brilliance bright

Immortals they were
Beings so divine
That on them no man
Could look
Without becoming blind

Reflected in their shields
Was all the soldiers saw
Their shields of molten iron
Their swords of golden ore
Each made for them
By smithies bold
Who knew their job damn well

Preparing for strife

They had been chosen
By the King to do this
Work for him
He knew the strife
Was yet to come
And be prepared
He would

Upon his iron throne
He sat
His glittering armour strong
Ensuring all who came near him
His body could not harm

Standing by the King

Around him there stood many men
And many women too
All vying for a place
At court

Their colour or their race
Meant not a lot
To him
It was their hearts, their minds
He counted on
Their love
On which he could rely

Yet also there were they
In sly and devious ways
Could lead others astray

As Dawn did break..

When dawn did break
In colours golden blue
He did ride forth
His retinue
Behind him
His lady fair
Rode too
In clothes of different hue

So they rode out
Planning ways to discover
Resolutions good and proper
To help mankind his journey home
With good intention

Doing, Being and Saying

From whence they came
And where they go
It matters not to me

I have no time
For what they do
Or what they say
A bucket full of shit
It is

Through all these platitudes
And words
I am just being me

Sometimes I am angry
Sometimes am sad
Always loving
No matter what
They all add up to me

and so it is
